Actually it was the leader of the winning team that was sacrificed to the Gods as the people wanted to give the Gods the “BEST” they had to offer.. The leader of the losing team was considered a loser and not the best offer to the Gods…

We were able to go off a Carnival ship this past week. I was really awe struck. I would have loved to spend at least 6 hours there and have a true archeaologist as my guide. The place is about as fascinating as Machu Picchu that we went to last February. I can see why both places are on the new 7 wonders of the world list.

We just returned from a visit to Chichen Itza. It would have been much more enjoyable if there were no vendors inside the gates.
